Network Marketing is a marketing system, where consumers of a company will have an option to behave as Independent Distributors for the products and services of the company. They will be compensated for the sales they do. They will also be compensated for the sales done by the other Independent Distributors they recruit. This recruited people are referred as the participant's down-line. And the participants will get multiple levels of compensation for the sales force of his/her down-line. Companies like Avon, Amway, Tupperware, Herbalife, Modicare etc fall under the network marketing umbrella.
